Corporal Charles Lyons, a 1942 graduate of Madison High School served in World War II from 1944-1946 in the Philippians and Japan. Corporal Lyons was a squad leader of Co. B 136th Infantry, and earned Pacific Theater with Bronze Star, the Philippians Liberation Bronze Star Victory Medal, the Good Conduct Medal Army, and the Occupation Medal Japan.
