BTES Open House / Orientation Night

It is hard to believe that the 2026-27 School Year Open House is a week away! The BTES (K-5) Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, August 12th. Based on surveys from our parents last year, Open House is being reorganized. We are now calling it Orientation Night. We will still have our community partners joining us. The biggest change is that we will be offering teacher-led sessions to communicate the “need to know” information for each grade level (K-5). Each grade level will hold five identical sessions for you to choose a time that works best for you. Each session will start at the top of the hour and be roughly 45 minutes long (~ 30 minutes for the teachers and ~ 15 minutes for questions). Here are the session times you can choose from during Orientation Night:

Session 1 = 1:00pm - 1:45pm

Session 2 = 2:00pm - 2:45pm

Session 3 = 3:00pm - 3:45pm

Session 4 = 4:00pm - 4:45pm

Session 5 = 5:00pm - 5:45pm

We hope that by extending the hours that more families will be able to attend. We are asking that parents / guardians be mindful of the time. Starting at a quarter till the hour, teachers will need to start preparing for the next session. We hope this change will provide parents / guardians with a better opportunity to see the expectations of their child(ren) through-out the year in order to support them at home.
